Sony A7IV Hybrid Camera

Hybrid mirrorless camera, equally awesome for video and photography. I picked the A7IV because it is the perfect mix of capable and professional quality video camera and high quality stills camera too) and when I need anything higher end or more specific for a job, I just hire it!

The weather sealing has been great for me too!

TAMRON 17-28MM F2.8 FULL FRAME WIDE LENS

Waaaay cheaper than the Sony equivalent and still amazingly sharp, with great colours.. I love this lens! Most photos on my Instagram account over the last year were shot with this lens and same with the videos too.. any time I'm talking to camera it's probably this lens!

Røde Wireless Pro or Wireless GO II

With 32-bit float audio recording it means you can never accidentally clip your audio.. (that means have it distort because its too loud).

Røde have been my go-to microphone brand for a long time now and are GREAT people too. the last time I needed help from them I was blown away by the customer service!

I also still have the Wireless Go II which is fantastic, but does not have 32 bit float.. it's a little cheaper too!

Sony FX3 Cinema Camera or Sony A7SII

The FX3 is what I hire when I need something more full on than my A7IV for video production.. it's super lightweight, has mounting points built onto the body all over it ( so no cage needed), has an XLR audio grip and was considered good enough to shoot the stunning visual masterpiece the "The Creator" directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla).

For slightly lower budget hire, but the same perfrommace I also use the Sony A7SIII which is technically a very similiar camera. But why these? well I get them when I need supreme low light capability (either) OR just need a highly riggable camera (FX3).
